The place is situated 2 doors down from a Tesco extra and they ran out of items for cooked breakfast on 2 out of the 4 breakfasts we had there

Beautiful old home, Joe does a wonderful job with running the show, very helpful. Convenient location

Very poor, very dirty, seen rats and dead cockroach, stains on sheets, ripped bedding, greeted by owner wearing very dirty socks with no shoes, very bad smell throughout so had to buy air freshener and fabreez, used condom under cushion of seat, mouldy food in draws. Mould on the walls and bits of wall falling off because of the damp Asked for room to be cleaned then was asked to leave. I wish I could upload the photos that I took so people can see what this place is like. Photos have gone to environmental health.I seen 2 other rooms in the whole place that looked in good state so if you must stay here with no other option ask for room 10But the place should be closed down. This would be a beautiful house if some time and effort was put into it. Joe (the owner) just doesn't care about the place or the customers

If it was possible I would review a minus. Place was filty, mould growing on the walls in 2 of the rooms we had. There was rotten food in drawers. Around the windows were black with mildew. The staff were out early friendly on arrival although when being told that if you need anything shout he was already half way through the door running downstairs to the living quarters . When we checked in he met us in his socks. We complained about the mould in the rooms and the rotten food .We had 2 rooms booked. We were given an alternative to one of the rooms and told the maid would give the other room a deep clean THE NEXT DAY. The second room was as bad. The ensuite had mould on the walls .there was a cupboard that was filty inside. There was a used condom and rapper stuffed down the side of one of the filthy armchairs. We had no alternative but to try and stay the night. The next day the room which we had been promised would be cleaned was as bad as ever. I complained again and was told the maid was sick so we could move rooms. This room although marginally better the headboards and side boards were thick with dust. I told the young lad who showed us to that room that whilst it was better it was far from clean and I would be making a formal complaint but we had no option but to stay. I returned to my room with the children and minutes later the owner asked me to come to reception where he told me he was asking us to leave for having the audacity to complain about having to stay in a room with used condoms and cockroaches. Also witnessed rats outside our ground floor bedroom window. This place should be condemned and I have made contact with environmental health and given them all the photos. Since we left almost 2 weeks ago the curtains which are thick with toyellow staining in the ground floor bedroom we were staying in have been closed so I can only hope these means they are cleaning it.

Great spot! The rooms are so unique and kept in the Georgian theme to a tee! Great breakfast and good sleep. What more could ya want. And it's practically in the city centre as well!
