When I booked my car in for its first service I didn't realise I was through to a central facility. The two "gentlemen" I dealt with were an intransigent nightmare, it was obvious they didn't care less and were just following the scripts on their screens. Because of my experience I vowed never to buy a mini again and wasn't looking forward to dropping my car off. However, when I did I was pleasantly surprised to be welcomed in a totally different manner. Well done Laura for your pleasant manner and willingness to provide a first rate personal quality of service. Ditch the central anonymous call centre!!
Hadn't even handed my car keys over and someone was trying to sell me an extended warranty and/or a new car as mine was 3yr old. Obviously didn't do his homework or he would have seen I only bought the car off them 1year ago. But he was polite and took it on the chin when I told him I'd never buy a car from them again because they ruined my paintwork on my current car after I paid the deposit and was told there was nothing they could do about it and their now previous manager had very poor customer service skills. Todays experience though, I waited 2hrs for a 90 minute service, which was fine but was only offered 1 coffee during this time until i was ready to leave when they offered a fresh one. All in all, not unpleasant but it did remind me of the poor customer service in Durham showroom and that I'd never buy another car from there, only used these because the car came with a 5yr TLC pack and it's my nearest mini garage.
